Unfortunately for me on 30 dec I had the dreaded engine light and message “gearbox in emergency mode. You can drive on”
VW Tiguan 2017 2l turbo diesel DSG 4motion
I was driving in a 30mph zone. Car seemed ok then started to rev and jump gears. Managed to drive home ok ish. Had a second message on the way home to say no reverse gear available but then that disappeared and I was able to engage reverse.
I have left the car alone over Christmas and managed to find your website recommended by Volkscraft in Exeter. They did a full service on the car and gearbox in April 2025.
Hoping it’s not very bad news and you can help out / fit me in soon (fingers crossed) I live in Ashburton Devon which is about 2 hours drive from you. Feel a bit nervous about driving to you in case it causes more damage ?
I started the car yesterday and the engine light was on but no messages.
