Don’t put the AT car in “Park” before fully stopped
If you own an automatic transmission car, you should never switch it to Park before it fully stops. There is a little element called parking pawl, that is locking the output shaft in the parking mode. If the car is still moving when it is trying to engage, in best case scenario it will stop your car immediately and put a lot of stress onto your transmission. In worst case scenario however, the locking pin may shear and the free particle of metal can damage other elements of your gearbox.
