The UK needs to improve its air quality. The government has come up with a plan to pay up to £2,000 to old diesel owners to buy a new car. This money will likely be given to drivers from most polluted areas or with low income. If it becomes reality, then £500m could help to take 500,000 polluting vehicles off the road.
