Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti are part of the Volkswagen Group

In 1998, the Volkswagen Group added prestigious car manufacturers Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti to their portfolio.

It cost them a reported £430 million to obtain Bentley, especially after they had to see off a rival bid from BMW. They would continue to acquire companies as time went on.
